For a small town diner, it's exactly what you would expect. Great diner food, casual service, and no muss or fuss. Only docked a star for not being very clean, especially the bathroom, but I'd have docked 2-3 if it were a more mainstream location. Basically... I wasn't surprised...

It's not new, shiney or fancy. It's down home Missouri; every wall covered with years of pictures/signs/plaques & dodads; friendly main street neighborhood bar & restaurant. Everybody knows everybody & greet each other with a smile & a big hello. Kids are welcome with mom & dad. Oh, by the way, the food is really good. Servings are huge. Staff is friendly & attentive. Food prepared & sent out quickly. Prices cheap. We had steak, french fries & salad. Delicious but portions so generous we couldn't eat it all.

Limited lunch menu, but our Mushroom Swiss Burger and Fries and Grilled Tenderloin and Chile Soup were very good with large portions. Nice find in Paris, MO. As an Illinoisan, I'm always surprised to find people still smoking in restaurants, but I wasn't bothered. In this age of over-legislation, I say, good for you, Missouri. I'm tempted to move here, especially as our new governor seems determined to tax all Illinoisans into Socialism.
